Tourism London & Find It In London Win 2023 Virtuoso Award of Excellence

Find it in London is the proud recipient of a 2023 Virtuoso Award of Excellence in the Social Media category for the recent ONTO Campaign.

Presented by International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) London, the Virtuoso Awards are Southwestern Ontario’s premier professional awards celebrating excellence in communications and the best in creative strategy and design.

Funded through the City of London’s Community Recovery Network, Tourism London, in partnership with all 5 BIAs, launched a city-wide Find It In London marketing campaign. This coordinated, collaborative, promotional partnership strives to create a sense of community while driving economic recovery and growth as well as stimulating local tourism. Find it in London has been telling stories, creating relationships and building connections since 2021 that have encouraged people to shop, support and experience London.

ONTO Great Experiences in London

The Find it in London ONTO Campaign was created to provide a cohesive way for each partner to promote and highlight the unique aspects of their area. Stimulating economic growth as these businesses recover was key – so promoting exploring London in a fun way was essential. Themes for the ONTO Campaign were chosen to reflect all of what London has to offer, wording was chosen with a strong call to action and the images used were bright and unique with diversity prioritized so that all Londoners could see themselves taking part.

All partners worked together by contributing theme ideas, tracking businesses featured and posting weekly on their existing social media channels. Key messages were aligned seasonally and with city-wide activities such as community festivals, markets and celebrations to better appeal to the market.

The campaign was deemed successful by all participating partners as it not only surpassed all goals, but it provided structure and inspiration for social media content that engaged followers and grew audiences. As a result, the campaign was relaunched in 2023 with a few modifications in hopes of showcasing even more of London’s unique local businesses.
